Providing us with up-to-date and accurate contact information is an important way to defend against fraud. We’ll use this information to verify suspicious transactions on your account or to complete a transaction in online banking or mobile banking.

Here’s how Simplii Financial fraud alerts work

We monitor fraud trends and typical card activity and when various factors indicate a transaction may be fraudulent, we’ll notify you by phone, email or text to verify the transaction.

You can instantly verify your purchase to continue using your card, or immediately report it as fraud. If fraud is suspected, we will need to speak with you.

In certain situations, we may block your bank card until we receive confirmation from you that the requested transaction was verified.

Here’s what to expect in a valid fraud alert from Simplii Financial 

When we detect potential fraud, you’ll receive any of the following alerts:

  • An automated call from 1-800-267-5201 - These calls will include information about recent transactions and will give you the option to confirm a purchase using your touch-tone keypad.
  • An email from alert@simplii.com Opens your email app. - These alerts will advise you of potential suspicious activity on your account and will provide a phone number to reach us.
  • A text notification from 242-225 - These alerts will include information about a recent transaction and will give you the option to reply with a "Y" or "N" to confirm a purchase.

Here’s what not to expect in a fraud alert text from Simplii Financial 

We will never send you a text asking for your sign-on ID, your password or any personal information.

We will never send you a text from a third party address or link to a third party site.

If you receive a text message that appears to be from Simplii Financial with a request to you send personal information or links you to a website, do not respond to it.
